decline of the US dollar as well as the
escalation of costs at high end African lodges has made travel to Africa
less affordable than in years past.
Still, relative to other international travel Africa offers exceptional value. The dollar has maintained parity with the South African Rand and many South African lodges and hotels have chosen not to increase prices for 2008. Egypt and Kenya remain excellent values.
