Accommodations - Boulders and Ebony Lodges - Singita Private Reserve

This magnificent 18,000-hectare game reserve has Boulders and Ebony Lodges overlooking the Sand River. Each lodges has 9 luxury suites, each with its own swimming pool and private deck with view over the river.

Ebony Lodge languishes in a cool silence in the shade of jackalberry trees on the bank of the Sand River, in the heart of the Sabi Sands Reserve. Ebony is man's love affair with Africa, timeworn colonial furniture and ethnic craft merge with vibrant hand-woven fabrics and relics collected from the land - a tribute to nature's eternal struggle. The suites at Ebony are places of quiet contemplation, where the silence and solitude is measured only by the harmony of the forest and plains beyond. Ebony is the epitome of the luxury safari experience, combining quality and simple refinement to define the wonder of the wild.

Boulders Lodge towers over the landscape, a monolith of curving thatch and piled stone that joins seamlessly with the rocky geometry that holds it to the earth. Senufo artefacts and bold sculpture offset smooth linen in blue and silent white, as cascading water cools the summer air. Boulder's suites feature magnificent stone bathrooms and bedrooms that encapsulate in luxury. Quiet, simple and luxurious, moments spent on the vast sundecks will leave you at the mercy of the breathtaking wild distance.

Accommodations - Lebombo and Sweni Lodges -  Kruger National Park

Set in a private concession along the Lebombo Mountains on the Mozambique border Lebombo and Sweni offer a unique opportunity to experience the fabulous game-viewing in this region of Kruger whilst enjoying the comfort for which Singita is famous.

Lebombo Lodge is poised over one of Africa's most dramatic landscapes in the Kruger National Park's glorious south-east.  Lebombo Lodge is set against a country that is abundant in water, antelope and big cats, with colours that shift with the changing seasons. Lebombo was created as a transient witness to the land, constructed of steel, glass and wood in reverence to the African expanse before it. Walkways snake their way along a ridge dotted with surreal euphorbia that praise the sky, to lofts clasped like eagles' nests to the mountainside. Sparsely adorned spaces created of wall-to-wall glass; the suites are places of interaction with a wilderness that echoes to the soul.

Sweni is the smallest and most intimate of the Singita lodges.  Built on stilts with decks of dark timber, Sweni with six supremely luxurious hides tucked away among the trees in the dappled shade on the banks of the Sweni River, Sweni Lodge shares the quiet spaces and secrets of an African waterway. With a style that is distinctly African, Sweni unites earthenware pots and ethnic artworks with contemporary pieces, against a dark palette lifted with flashes of lime, avocado and kiwi.

Food, Wine, Art and Health  - Not only the best bush cellar in Africa, but one of the famous cellars in the world, the cellar at Boulders Lodge holds over 12,000 bottles and another "wine tower" at Lebombo holds another  4,600 bottles at Lebombo.  Thus Singita offers a unmatched selection of vintage South African wines, collected and aged on site.  A wine-tasting is one of the "off-duty" activities that will mark your stay at Singita.

With an executive Singita's executive chef has worked in the food capitals of the globe, and brings this international experience to the superb ingredients he finds in Africa. Guests at Singita will encounter something truly original: a cuisine inspired by African flavours yet guided by the Western culinary tradition. Dining is suited and prepared to your choice, in the privacy of your room, in the dining boma or on the deck of the lodge.

At both the private reserve and Lebombo location, Singita offers a gym and health spa , offering private treatment rooms with spectacular vistas of the bush, steam room.  To help you relax and unwind, practiced therapists offer a variety of treatments including conventional  ancient Thai and African head massages; hot stone therapy,  mineral salt scrubs; manicures, facials and aromatherapy.

 Game Viewing

Sabi Sands Reserve
The Sabi Sands gets its name the perennial Sand River that bisects the reserve and the fine, sandy substrate found throughout. Globally renowned for its diversity and concentration of big game, the Sabi Sands features broad, open savannah interspersed with acacia thornveld, rocky outcrops and riverine forest. Herds of buffalo and elephant, large prides of lion, majestic leopard and antelope by the thousands make the 18 500 hectare Singita Private Game Reserve, at the heart of the Sabi Sands, one of the finest locations for viewing the Big 5 anywhere in the world.

Lebombo Concession adds an exciting new dimension to the Singita wildlife experience. Located in the Kruger National Park's southeast, on the border with Mozambique, Lebombo represents one of the few remaining unexplored territories of this celebrated wildlife sanctuary. The Lebombo mountain range runs diagonally across the expanse, interlaced by the N'wanetsi and Sweni Rivers. The rea holds the highest densities of game they've seen anywhere, including a wealth of Big 5, abundant antelope and birdlife, and an incredible diversity of smaller animals.
