10- day Uganda Camping safari
Mountain Gorillas, Chimpanzee trekking, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls
$1940 per person - excludes gorilla/chimpanzee permits
Day 1 Depart Entebbe, visit Lake Mburo enroute to Queen Elizabeth National Park, overnight camping. Camp is set up at Mweya Lodge. Within these two days, we will go on a boat cruise on the Kasinga Channel, famous for the hippos and birdlife, and either visit the chimps on Isinga Island, or trek them in the Chamburu gorge. Late afternoon game drives will also be conducted in search of Uganda's unique wildlife such as Giant Forest Hog, Red Forest Buffalo and Ugandan Kob.
Day 2 Boat cruise on the Kasinga Channel, famous for the hippos and birdlife, and either visit the chimps on Isinga Island, or trek them in the Chamburu gorge. Early morning and late afternoon game drives will also be conducted
Day 3
Morning game drive out of the park. Drive from QENP at Kabale. Overnight hotel. FB The road to Kabale takes you into the Uganda Highlands - the Switzerland of Africa - with great views and vistas of this lush green area.
Day 4 A picnic lunch and boat trip on the beautiful Lake Bunyoni overnight close to border of Democratic Republic of Congo. The extinct volcanoes of the Virungas, home of the Mountain Gorillas, rise above the Zairean rain forest to a height over 14 000 ft. FB.
Day 5 An early morning trek into the forest on the slopes of the volcanoes, led by experienced trackers, will bring you amongst a family of Mountain Gorillas. These massive primates are extremely rare, only 600 remaining. You will get within metres of the family, and be privileged to spend time amongst them. We return to Uganda and overnight at a hotel.
Day 6 Drive from Kabale via Kampala to bush camp in the savanna near Masindi. Passengers leaving the trip today will be accommodated at the Entebbe Flight Hotel and transferred to the airport tomorrow by the hotel.
Day 7 A short drive via Masindi to the Budongo Forest. Overnight camp at Kaniyo Pabidi Ecotourist Site - an isolated block of the Budongo Forest which has never been logged, and is characterised by its huge mahogany and ironwood trees.

Track chimpanzees in the forest with the guides, or search for some of the rare birds such as Chocolate backed and Blue breasted Kingfishers, Black Billed Touracos and White thighed Hornbills. Because of its remote location lion, leopard and buffalo are also present as well as seven species of primate.

Day 8 Short drive to the Murchison Falls National Park. At 3840 sq km this is Uganda's largest park, and is home to elephant, buffalo, all the big cats and is well known for birdlife - Shoebill Stork being a sought after rarity. It also has a large population of hippo and huge crocodiles. Afternoon game drive. Camping.
Day 9  As well as game drives, today we will take a cruise up the Nile to the foot of the falls, a magical trip through some beautiful scenery. The whole of the Nile River is forced into a gap only 8 metres wide - the immense forces of the water and the views of the Falls are awe inspiring. Overnight camping.
Day 10 We depart early from the Park for the 6 hour drive back to Kampala. Overnight Entebbe, hotel. Chance to visit the markets, Kasubi Tombs etc.

2-day White Water Rafting on the  White Nile - $230

The  White Nile at its source has some of  the most powerful and sustained
rapids on earth with up to ten times the volume of the Zambezi.

Itinerary
day 1  -   8am for pick up at your Kampala hotel. Drive 1.5 hours to Jinja and Bujagali Falls where you will  meet the guides and be issued with safety equipment. Raft the White Nile - full day of Class 5 whitewater action.   Stop for lunch on an island in the middle of the river.  Stop for the night on another beautiful island - camp will be set and dinner and drinks are served as you watch the Nile sunset.

day 2 -  After a hearty breakfast set off again - this time we travel   via oar boat as opposed to paddle boat.  This means during the calmer pools that we encounter the guide has to do all the work and you are welcome to sit back and enjoy the ride.  Lunch is again en route and at the end of the day enjoy well deserved beers on the way back to Kampala.
